The first phase of the Corvin Innovation Campus, implemented by Futureal, was already structurally ready at the beginning of 2022, after which the works of the second phase also began. RAVATHERM XPS thermal insulation plays an important role in the building designed according to outstanding sustainable guidelines.

The first phase of the nearly 30,000 square meter C7 office building being built as part of the Corvin Innovation Campus is nearing completion, and the second phase is already in full swing.

The new generation building complex will be built in the immediate vicinity of Corvin Sétány, in the area bounded by Szigony utca, Tömő utca, Apáthy István utca and Balassa utca.

As part of the project, Futureal, which implemented the office building, will create a public memorial park of more than 1,500 square meters at the main entrance of the complex. The park is named after Irén Psota, a two-time Kossuth Award winner and Mari Jászai award-winning artist and national actor, who was once born in Tömő Street.

Creating an outstanding energy class and a healthy environment

The complex with an exceptional location is being developed by Futureal according to the strictest BREEAM Excellent sustainability and people-oriented WELL Platina guidelines, and it has already obtained the pre-qualifications during the first phase.

The outstanding quality RAVATHERM XPS 300 SL thermal insulation, which was used in both the first and second phases of the building’s inverted layered flat roof, contributed greatly to the certification. To achieve the appropriate energy level, XPS boards were used with a thickness of 22 cm in an amount of more than 2000 m3!

A photovoltaic solar panel system will be installed on the roof of the office complex, and the electricity produced in this way will, based on estimates, cover 40 percent of the electricity needed to light the underground parking garage.

Great emphasis on creating a green environment The “A” category complex with a special facade was designed in accordance with the expectations of the digital age, and during its construction, great emphasis was placed on creating a healthy and green environment. In the spirit of this, the precision filters, UV germ eliminators and activated carbon filter systems of the fully barrier-free building will ensure one of the cleanest indoor air in Budapest.

The courtyard of the building will function as a kind of extension of the Corvin Promenade, as well as a pleasant recreation surface. The Psota Irén Memorial Park, planted with trees, will be equipped with wooden seats and will also be filled with community functions, and Veronika Krauth’s unique fine art will pay tribute to the area’s namesake. In the interior of the office complex, green plant decoration also ensures the well-being of the employees there. The office building is located less than 200 meters from the metro stop 3, so it can be easily and quickly reached by public transport. For those arriving by bicycle, an increased number of bicycle storage facilities, separate showers and lockers will be provided in the building, where a cafe and restaurant will serve the comfort of the employees and guests. In addition, they added the Corvin Innovation Campus is also the first pet-friendly building in Futureal’s office portfolio.

Creation of contact-free public spaces As part of Futureal’s Stay Safe initiative, the real estate developer has introduced new safety standards and is making additional technological solutions available during the design of the building to meet market demands for a safe office environment.
