OTP Bank’s new office building, one of Budapest’s most important office developments, was completed in 2020.
The building, which is almost completely ready, will be able to accommodate approximately 3,000 people.
OTP Group operates in 27 different locations in Budapest, excluding the branch network, many of which are planned to be moved to new buildings in 2022. A XIII. The seven-story office building being built in Madarász Street in the district, in the immediate vicinity of the neighboring office park of OTP Bank, will provide high-quality workplaces for approximately 3,000 people. When designing the office building, particular attention was paid to the creation of an employee-friendly atmosphere and the different work needs of different areas.
The most important element of the architectural concept of the new property is biophilia, i.e. the emphasis on natural elements. In addition to the abundance of green areas, inner courtyards and roof gardens, motifs referring to nature will also appear in the interior design to make the everyday life of the employees there more pleasant. In addition to the human-centered design of the community and office spaces, great emphasis was placed on efficiency-supporting solutions and rational maintenance costs.
More than 400 professionals are currently working on the construction, which began in 2019. During this time, 40,000 cubic meters of concrete and 5,000 tons of reinforcing steel were added to the monolithic reinforced concrete structure. The building has a 45-ton steel roof structure that will support a 1,300-square-meter glass roof. The highest point of the headquarters is at a height of 30 meters, where the symbol symbolizing one of the most important holidays of the construction industry, the decorated bush, was placed here.
In the name of sustainability, 22 cm thick RAVATHERM XPS 300 SL extruded polystyrene foam was installed on the flat roof of the building.
The handover of the office building designed by Market is expected at the end of 2021. For the time being, the schedule is not affected by the situation caused by the coronavirus, the construction is still progressing according to plan.
