General information

Today, building renovation generally also includes the modernization of power management. Besides replacing the doors and windows, and refurbishing the building technology, the investment with the quickest return is thermal insulation.
The RAVATHERM XPS products can be used for various applications, in the course of building renovation, as well. They can be used for the modernization of power management in:

  • Flat roofs, roof terraces and green roofs
  • Floor structures
  • Interior side of external walls
  • Footing of buildings
  • Floor structures for ascending cooling

While 10-15 years ago the renovation of a building in most cases was about the installation of thermal insulation, today it is the improvement of thermal insulation efficiency for a lot of building structures that are thermally insulated already but cannot meet the increased demands. In addition to replacing the existing thermal insulation to a thicker or more efficient one, this can also be made possible by installing extra thermal insulation.
Due to their beneficial properties, the closed-cell polystyrene foams do not lose their heat insulating property even after decades, therefore in many cases, it is expedient to keep them and achieving the additional energy savings by installing extra thermal insulation.

RAVATHERM™ XPS products are excellent for the insulation of

  • normal flat roofs,
  • inverted flat roof,
  • pitched roofs,
  • basement walls,
  • interior side of external walls

or as a supplement to their existing thermal insulation.
