JYSK furniture store’s new logistics center in Ecser covers a total of 143,000 square meters, with an additional 115,000 square meters of external paved surface. RAVATHERM XPS thermal insulation was used in the reinforced concrete wall panels of the facade.
The dimensions of the construction at the Ecser site next to the Budapest are well characterized by the fact that more than half a million cubic meters of soil have to be moved during the earthworks. The building has an area of 143,000 m2 with a pallet capacity of 205,000 pallets, which makes it one of the largest distribution centers in Hungary. During the construction, a large main building and several smaller buildings were created.
The special feature of the building is that on the facade there are prefabricated reinforced concrete elements made by Prebeton Kft., in which high compressive strength RAVATHERM XPS 300 SL closed cell polystyrene foam with excellent thermal insulation properties has been placed in the amount of more than 1500 m3.
The main building contains two automated, 43-meter high-rise warehouses, including a single-storey warehouse for inbound traffic. These areas are connected to the central automatic distribution corridor, from which the functions of outbound freight traffic are available.
The main building also houses office space, social and other service parts, guest rooms, sprinkler engine rooms, boiler room and pumping station.
