Five billion Forints can be used to renew the Fejes Valley part of the Veszprém Zoo. During the first phase of the complete reconstruction of the three-hectare area, utilities will be replaced, old buildings and arenas will be demolished, and a new big cat complex and pet show will be created. Surely RAVATHERM XPS also took care of the living comfort of the animals!
Zoos are arenas of culture, where education, upbringing, scientific work, environmental protection and calling attention to responsible animal husbandry are realized. During the current development, new enclosures with pools are being built for tigers, snow leopards and lynxes, and the vegetation will also be renewed. The enclosure for the big cats is actually a flat roof designed in reverse layering, with RAVATHERM XPS thermal insulation added!
Older visitors, as well as those arriving with strollers or wheelchairs, will be able to comfortably view the big cats in their new location by using the ramps on the ground or canopy level. In addition, children can get to know the animal world of the region at the pet show place. Here, Veszprém Zoo is enriched with three large stables, a carriage house and a parking lot. The works will start this autumn and will be completed by the middle of 2023.
