The entire, sustainable and energy-efficient office building with an iconic design and a total of more than 66,000 m2 offering a panoramic view of Buda is located in Őrmező, Hungary’s largest transport hub. In addition to its attractive appearance, it has an outstanding energy level, to which RAVATHERM XPS also contributed.
The Budapest ONE office complex, located at the junction of metro line 4, Kelenföld railway station, and the entrance section of the M1–M7 highways to the capital, can be reached by direct flights from the city center in up to 10 minutes. The building complex, which includes 3,500 square meters of commercial and service area, is complemented by 2,500 square meters of green space. There are many shops and services on the ground floor of the office building, and the entire range of Etele Plaza, also registered by Futureal, is within walking distance for those working in Budapest ONE.
In the design of Budapest ONE, special attention was paid so that, despite its spectacular design, it does not visually overwhelm the residential area. The floor plan and facade of the ribbon-like undulating building were designed to enable the most favorable installation. It is designed to create the most ideal shape in terms of the direction of the sun, solar energy potential and air flow.
The groundbreaking office building was one of the first in Hungary to obtain the international WELL Building Platinum pre-qualification, and the first phase was the first in Hungary to receive WELL’s highest Platinum classification. The development earned the WELL Health-Safety international certificate for its safe operation. The second and third phases of the building simultaneously obtained the BREEAM Excellent Design Stage environmentally friendly certification for sustainable buildings.
To achieve this outstanding energy level, the building was built using high-quality, durable and efficient thermal insulation materials. The entire, almost completely flat roof of the complex is designed in an inverted layer order, into which 26 cm thick RAVATHERM XPS 300 SL is built.
