In October, Penny Market opened its logistics center in Veszprém, which will serve stores in western Hungary. The thermal insulation and load capacity of the cold store floors of the 26,500 square meter building is guaranteed by our RAVATHERM XPS 700 SL thermal insulation.
The one in Veszprém is Penny Market’s third logistics center in Hungary – in addition to the ones in Karcag and Alsónéméd – and will supply 59 stores with goods, thus realizing 28% of the company’s total logistics capacity. The complex has a capacity of 15,000 pallets, and up to 1,600-2,000 pallets of goods are received daily.
In order for the floor to withstand this enormous load on a daily basis, it was necessary to install thermal insulation that would not compress over the long term during continuous use.
