OTP Group operates at 27 different locations in Budapest, excluding the branch network, many of which will be moved to the new building. About three thousand employees work in the new office building, realized with an investment worth tens of billions of forints. During the project, great emphasis was placed on efficiency-supporting solutions and rational maintenance costs, to which the RAVATHERM XPS thermal insulation also contributes.
The new office building of OTP was handed over in the XIII. district in Madarász Street by Market. The office building, named M12, built on a plot of nearly 13,000 square meters, has a seven-story high, three-level underground parking garage. A total of more than 84,000 square meters complex has the GOLD grade of the LEED environmentally conscious building certification system.
The M12 office building was awarded this title because it uses forward-looking and sustainable solutions such as modern mechanical and electrical systems, ceiling heating and cooling, the use of waste heat from the heat pump to produce hot water, the recycling of rainwater or smart lighting control. The building also has a modern management system for the efficient operation of various energy-producing devices. 20 electric car chargers are also available in the 878-space parking garage.
In the spirit of sustainability, special attention was paid to the proper thermal insulation of the building. More than 1,000 m3 of RAVATHERM XPS 300 SL extruded polystyrene foam thermal insulation, 20 cm thick, was installed on the inverted layered flat roof.
The most important element of the architectural concept of the new property is biophilia, i.e. the emphasis on natural elements. In addition to the abundance of green areas, inner courtyards and roof gardens, motifs referring to nature will also appear in the interior design to make the everyday life of the employees there more pleasant.
