It was handed over at the beginning of October to Hirschmann Car Communication Ltd. 1,400 square meter new production hall at their site in Békéscsaba. High compressive strength RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL polystyrene thermal insulation was added to the floor of the building.
The company which manufactures roof and foil antennas, amplifiers, filters, high-frequency connectors and cables for cars and trucks expanded its premises to seven thousand square meters with its new production hall. The total value of the investment exceeds one million euros, the amount was fully financed from own resources.
“The new building can be considered an extremely important investment for the future of the Békéscsaba site. After a significant increase in staff at the beginning of the year, we plan to create more stable, long-term jobs by the end of 2016,” said Peter Inzenhofer, managing director.
More than 1,000 m2 of 10 cm thick RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL heavy-duty closed-cell polystyrene thermal insulation was built into the floor of the production hall, which, in addition to satisfying building energy requirements and creating a comfortable thermal sensation, is also intended to support the loads placed on it.
Since the thermal insulation located under the floor slab is subjected to continuous stress, for example industrial structures, machines, vehicles, the thermal insulation must be fully resistant to these effects. Our RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL thermal insulation boards fully meet this requirement. With minimal compression, they are able to hold a permanent load of up to 18 tons per m2, not to mention short-term loads, of which they can withstand even multiples of this without damage. During construction, you can walk on the thermal insulation without special protection and install iron without the material being compressed or damaged.
