Unió Coop is planning a one billion Forints investment in Miskolc – announced László Tóth CEO of Unió Coop. The supermarket chain is building a new logistics base for fresh goods in the county seat of Borsod, as it would improve the supply of fresh goods in Eastern Hungary.
According to the plans, the new base will be built in 2017 in order to improve the supply of fresh goods, and it will also house the logistics warehouse for dairy products and meat and butcher’s goods.
In order to ensure that the operation of these and similar industrial-sized cold stores can remain economical, sustainable and environmentally friendly for many years, it is advisable to thermally insulate the floors of the buildings with closed-cell polystyrene foam.
Unió Coop therefore, more than 360 m3 of RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL thermal insulation was installed in the floor of the cold store in Miskolc. In addition to the fact that the heat storage capacity of the floor structure is used more efficiently with the help of our thermal insulation, the high-strength extruded polystyrene foam thermal insulation also withstands continuous, intensive use, and its use enables the creation of a cost-effective load-distributing reinforced concrete floor structure. RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL thermal insulation boards are able to sustain a permanent load of up to 18 tons per square meter without damage.
