Ravago Building Solutions, the UK’s original manufacturer of XPS insulation, has launched the next generation of its Ravatherm XPS X thermal insulation boards for floors and inverted roofs. The new Ravatherm XPS X FUSION range delivers enhanced thermal performance in a uniform board format appropriate for both precision applications and general construction.
Developed following a seven-figure investment in advanced manufacturing processes at Ravago’s UK production facility in King’s Lynn, the Ravatherm XPS X FUSION range achieves a consistent lambda value of 0.030 W/mK. Ravatherm XPS X FUSION boards are available up to 200mm thickness with either a shiplap or butt-edge profile and have a compressive strength of 300 kPa.
The Ravatherm XPS X FUSION range is designed for use across a wide range of applications, including floors and inverted roof systems (including green and blue roofs), where high compressive strength, moisture resistance and long-term thermal performance are required.

The improved thermal performance gives specifiers and contractors the opportunity to achieve target U-values using thinner insulation solutions, helping to support compliance with increasingly demanding building thermal performance requirements.
In addition to enhanced thermal efficiency, the Ravatherm XPS X FUSION range delivers greater consistency in thicker boards, aiding installation and offering a consistent finish in applications where flatness and dimensional stability are particularly important, such as roofing and Passive House projects.
The upgrade in new machinery at Ravago’s UK production facility has also given greater operational flexibility, enabling faster and more responsive production of different thicknesses, helping to improve product availability and reduce lead times.
