At the beginning of October, the new 1,400-square-meter production hall of Hirschmann Car Communication Kft. was handed over at their site in Békéscsaba. High-strength RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL polystyrene thermal insulation was installed in the floor of the building.
The company, which manufactures roof and film antennas, amplifiers, filters, high-frequency connectors and cables for cars and trucks among others, expanded its site to 7,000 square meters with this new production hall. The total value of the investment exceeds one million euros, which was fully financed by own resources.
„The new building is considered to be an extremely important investment for the future of the site in Békéscsaba.”
After a significant staff expansion at the beginning of the year, we plan to create more stable, long-term jobs by the end of 2016, ”said Peter Inzenhofer, Managing Director.
More than 1000 m2 of 10 cm thick RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL heavy-duty closed-cell polystyrene foam thermal insulation has been built into the floor of the production hall, which in addition to meeting the building energy requirements and creating a comfortable feeling of warmth, is also intended to bear the loads placed on it.
As the thermal insulation under the floor slab is subjected to continuous stresses from things such as industrial structures, machines, and vehicles, the thermal insulation must be fully resistant to these effects. Our RAVATHERM XPS 500 SL thermal insulation boards meet this requirement to the maximum.
With minimal compression, they are able to withstand a constant load of up to 18 tons per m2, and can even tolerate short-term loads, multiple times, without damage. During construction, it is possible to walk on the thermal insulation without special protection, to install steel mesh reinforcement without the material being compressed or damaged.
