The RAVATHEM XPS thermal insulation boards, which provide thermal protection for the buildings of the Admirál residential park in Balatonfüred, travelled only 20 km, as the contractors considered the Hungarian XPS manufactured in Balatonfűzfő to be the best choice.
Balatonfüred, the capital of lake Balaton on the north shore, has always been a popular holiday destination, but people gladly choose this diverse city as a place of residence. It’s calm yet full of exciting programs, quiet, yet everyone can find entertainment to suit their taste.
The city has started to develop rapidly in recent decades, public spaces are becoming more beautiful, roads and old buildings have been renovated, and also new ones have been erected.
Admirál villas were built near the centre of Balatonfüred, a few hundred metres from the waterfront. Condominiums, semi-detached houses and luxury villas add colour to the range of Füred’s residential houses, a total of 18 apartments.
These modern buildings are built on the basis of the latest energy criteria, which contribute, among other things, to low operating costs. The 12 cm RAVATHERM XPS 300 WB is placed under the façade stone cover on both the socle and the upper parts. This thermal insulation has to:
- withstand the weight of the stone cladding without deformation,
- resist the evaporation through the structure,
- be resistant to incoming moisture
Due to its high compressive strength, RAVATHERM XPS is able to withstand the loads of the cladding. The high vapour diffusion resistance of the thermal insulation improves the water vapour properties of the stone-clad wall structure, and due to its closed-cell material structure, it is also resistant to moisture, while retaining its excellent thermal insulation properties.
