What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is visiting a website.  Cookies help the website to optimize your user experience and make your next visit easier and useful to you.

Our systems will install those cookies as soon as you visit our website, unless you have adjusted your browser preferences, which will refuse our cookies.

GDPR and cookies

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU regulation that represents a significant initiative on data protection. The purpose is to protect “natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data”, e.g. the website user.

These cookies help us determine the number of visitors to our website, where visitors come from, how frequently particular pages are visited and to identify the most popular areas of our website.

_ga 2 years Used to distinguish users. It is included in each page request in a site and used to calculate visitor and session.
_gid 24 hours Used to store and update a unique value for each page visited
_gat 10 minutes Used to monitor the data collection when there is high traffic on the site

Google Analytics does not store any personal information about website users. These cookies will distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier.

Functional Cookies

These are cookies to guarantee the optimal working of the website itself and are mostly associated with the software the website has been built with. The Ravago website has been built with Drupal technology.

We use following cookies from Drupal:

Has_js End of session Determines whether or not JavaScript is enabled so that Drupal 7 can more efficiently perform operations to enhance the user experience. Cookie information is not shared. Note that it is not possible for the site to function properly without setting this cookie.
