Cookie policy Ravago Building Solutions: what is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is visiting a website. Cookies help the website to optimize your user experience and make your next visit easier and useful to you.
Our systems will install those cookies as soon as you visit our website, unless you have adjusted your browser preferences, which will refuse our cookies.
RBS, GDPR and cookies
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU regulation that represents a significant initiative on data protection. The purpose is to protect “natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data”, e.g. the website user.
Not all cookies are used in a way that could identify users but when cookies can identify an individual, it is considered personal data, and will therefore be subject to the GDPR.
Which cookies does RBS use?
There are different types of cookies for different purposes. We use “Analytical cookies”, which will help us improve the use of the website for you as a visitor, and “Functional cookies to guarantee the optimal working of the website.
Analytical cookies
These are performance cookies to see how visitors move around the website and to record which content viewers view and are interested in. We use this information to compile site analytics reports and to improve the website experience to make sure users are finding the information they are looking for. These cookies help us determine the number of visitors to our website, where visitors come from, how frequently particular pages are visited and to identify the most popular areas of our website.
We use following cookies from Google Analytics:
Cookie name | Expire time | Purpose |
_ga | 2 years | Used to distinguish users. It is included in each page request in a site and used to calculate visitor and session. |
_gid | 24 hours | Used to store and update a unique value for each page visited |
_gat | 10 minutes | Used to monitor the data collection when there is high traffic on the site |
Google Analytics does not store any personal information about website users. These cookies will distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier.
For more information of how Google processes your data, please check the Privacy policy of Google.
Functional Cookies
These are cookies to guarantee the optimal working of the website itself and are mostly associated with the software the website has been built with. The Ravago website has been built with Drupal technology.
We use following cookies from Drupal:
Cookie name | Expire time | Purpose |
Has_js | End of session | Determines whether or not JavaScript is enabled so that Drupal 7 can more efficiently perform operations to enhance the user experience. Cookie information is not shared. Note that it is not possible for the site to function properly without setting this cookie. |
Manage cookies in your browser
Note that all browsers have their own way of cookie management. Some browsers restrict or delete cookies, so you may want to revise your cookie settings. In some browsers you can create rules for managing cookies on a ‘per-site’ basis, giving you more fine-grained control over your privacy. This means that you can exclude cookies from all sites, except those you trust.
But if you prefer not to allow cookies, you can manage (block or delete) cookies in most modern browsers at your own discretion.
The internet browser settings for this purpose depends on the browser you are using. Use the links below for instructions on how to manage cookies:
