Visitors to the Ravago Building Solutions UK stand at Futurebuild 2025 discovered how the UK\u2019s original manufacturer of XPS insulation offers its customers a \u2018winning hand\u2019 in insulation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With comprehensive Declarations of Performance (DoPs), full transparency on compressive creep across its entire product range, and the lowest thermal conductivity of any UK manufactured XPS board accompanied with a BBA certificate for its Ravatherm XPS X ULTRA, Ravago customers are left holding all the aces when it comes to insulation performance, reliability, and heritage they can trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the three-day event, architects and building specifiers engaged with Ravago\u2019s core commercial team to discuss complex design specifications. With over 100 years of combined expertise in thermal insulation, the team offered tailored advice on the extensive variety of Ravatherm XPS X thermal insulation boards for inverted roof, floor and other construction applications. Available in a wide range of thicknesses and compressive strengths, these boards are designed to meet a diverse scale of project requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key highlight of Ravago\u2019s stand was its showcase of sustainability initiatives, particularly its efforts in waste reduction at its King\u2019s Lynn manufacturing plant, where it has been producing XPS insulation for over 65 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravago has developed a recycling process that captures and repurposes 100 per cent of the plant\u2019s manufacturing off-cuts, including microplastic dust that previously went to landfill. This process prevents 10 tonnes of waste from reaching landfill annually, which is equivalent to the weight of a large school bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using equipment inspired by wood compaction technology, microplastic dust is compressed into blocks, which are then broken down into mini pellets and reprocessed into prime material. This system not only eliminates waste, but also produces 240 cubic metres of thermal insulation annually \u2013 enough to supply a large-scale roofing project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
