Telekom headquarters in numbers

The largest office building in the country, Telekom headquarters, was built in two and a half years, and the green roofs of the 100,000-square-metre building were covered with 2000 cubic meters of RAVATHERM XPS 300 SL thermal insulation.

The office building has already broken several records during construction, including the seven pillars erected at the entrance, each 22 meters high, and the structural glass façade of more than 15,000 square meters. The T-Systems group have a long-term lease on the building from a subsidiary of WING Zrt in long term. On average, approximately 1000 specialists, and 150 suppliers and subcontractors worked on the huge construction site every day for 28 months. The aim during the design of the office building was to create an in inspiring working environment in addition to sustainability. One of the most spectacular and anvantageous elements of the building from several aspects is the green roof design. In addition to being attractive, it assists with stormwater balance, reduces the load on the sewers, binds the dust reduce the effects of global warming in summer. The best solution for the flat roof on which the green roof was constructed, was an inverted layer order. The great advantage with this is that it ensures a high level of safety and freedom of work organization during construction, and also protects the waterproofing from the risk of damage from work on the roof. Special closed-cell polystyrene foam thermal insulation must be installed in this layer order. RAVATHERM XPS provides thermal protection for the building, withstanding the weight of the layers above it, as well as being waterproof and easy to install.
